The Angelita Li Group - Brazilian . Jazz . Fusion

An international band composed of Australian, Canadian, Brazilian and Asian musicians, presenting an eclectic repertoire of grooves and melodies.

 

Angelita Li started her singing career in Hong Kong in 1979, when she was 9. She left Hong Kong in 1991 and spent five years in Bangkok developing her music, then moved to Los Angeles in 1995 where she toured with such Top 40 groups as Soto.

 

She returned to Hong Kong in 1996 and has since worked with the myriad Asian musicians including Sally Yeh, George Lam, Sandy Lam, Faye Wong, Khalil Fong, Jan Lam and Rubberband. She has also given lectures, written articles on jazz, and hosted jazz programs on RTHK, and she backed up Ricky Martin at the 1998 MTV Awards in Singapore.
