Drones, or unmanned aircrafts, are a technology which has gained much attention from being used to deliver books, pizza, beer, to capture aerial footages at the Winter Olympics, and to make the latest movies, TV programmes, documentary and news footages. We have all seen the videos but what is this technology and the requirements that need to be met before drones are allowed to be used in Hong Kong?
Mr. Yim will give a live demonstration and an overview of what constitutes an unmanned aircraft system. He will also discuss the guidelines set out by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department and issues related to flight operations.
