Curiosity, Adventure, & Love* is the story of a centenarian adventurer, a Cuban-born American woman who moved to the Philippines in the 1930s at a young age and witnessed the birth of a nation, a cruel war and occupation, and reconstruction. Jessie Lichauco is a striking personality, somewhere between Scarlett O’Hara and Amelia Earhart, who charted her own path without regard to traditional gender or societal expectations. Her story of a century well-lived is both rich and one that should restore faith in our own humanity.
