CNN anchor and chief media correspondent Brian Stelter will talk about his two-year investigation of Fox News and its relationship with President Donald Trump that resulted in his latest book, Hoax: Donald Trump, Fox News and the Dangerous Distortion of the Truth. He spoke to more than 250 current and former insiders at Rupert Murdoch’s news channel, which has been branded a propaganda outlet for Trump and the Republican Party. The book explores the conflicts between the Trump loyalists, including star anchor Sean Hannity, and the network’s remaining independent journalists. Moderated by FCC vice-president, Eric Wishart.
Brian Stelter is the chief media correspondent for CNN Worldwide and anchor of CNN’s Reliable Sources, which examines the week’s top media stories. Prior to joining CNN in November 2013, Stelter was a media reporter at The New York Times. He is the author of The New York Times best-selling book, Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV (2013), about the competitive world of morning news shows. He is a consultant on Apple’s drama The Morning Show, which is inspired by his book.
