The war in Ukraine changed Europe within weeks from international relations to international trade. The unprovoked attack on Ukraine by Russia united Europe, also with the United States in a manner not seen recently. One country where the public discussion about strategic military alliances changed within weeks was Finland, a Nordic country with an over 1,300 kilometres land border with Russia, which is also the eastern frontier of the European Union. What does the new Europe look like, especially in relation to the United States? Is NATO membership in the near-term future of Finland? What line the Kremlin won’t cross? Moderated by FCC First Vice President Hannamiina Tanninen. | ||||||||||||||||||
